Dental implants in Berlin

The preparation

Before a possible treatment with dental implants, you will be advised in detail. Based on your situation, we discuss the possible procedure and also go through possible alternative restorations. After we have decided together on a procedure that is suitable for you, our experts will prepare an individual cost plan. If necessary, you can submit this plan to your insurance company ahead of treatment.

Once all open questions have been addressed, we can begin with the actual treatment. Initially a 3D X-ray is produced to determine the exact dental implant position. In subsequent appointments, the dental implants are inserted. The procedure is painless.

Even after treatment, there is usually only a temporary, minor swelling and little, if any, pain.

The dental implant will now grow in firmly within 4 to 6 months. After that, 3 appointments will be scheduled in order to place the crown for your dental implant. This completes the treatment and you can immediately put full loads on the new tooth.

The procedure

A dental implant is a completely new tooth. Unlike a dental crown, a dental implant replaces not only the crown, but also the root of a tooth.

The replacement for the tooth root is the actual implant. It is made of biocompatible titanium and has a root shape. Titanium has been used in medicine for decades, for example for artificial hip joints or healing screws for bone fractures. The dental implant is inserted into the jawbone and grows there within a few months. After that, a crown can be placed on the dental implant, the replacement root. For this purpose, the crown and the implant are bonded or screwed together.  This completes the treatment.

Our equipment

For dental implants in Berlin, the practice BLEIBTREU ZAHNÄRZTE has modern equipment and competent practitioners.

The special features of the equipment:

  1. A 3-D X-ray machine of the latest generation. With this, the jaw can be precisely measured before each intervention, thus enabling accurate planning and even more safety for you.

  2. Guiding templates for navigated implantation. With a specifically manufactured template, the optimal implant position can be planned in advance on the computer and then precisely transferred to the operation.

  3. Modern biomaterials: for optimal healing of the dental implant we use biomaterials from German and Swiss production.

And of course, with Dr. Lennard Krüger you find a competent contact person with many years of experience applying dental implants in Berlin.

What exactly is a dental implant?

A dental implant replaces a complete tooth, i.e. both the tooth crown and the tooth root. The artificial tooth root grows into the bone like a natural root. The crown of the dental implant is usually made of ceramic and does not differ visually from a natural tooth.

What are the advantages of dental implants?

Dental implants are an extremely gentle way of closing a gap between teeth. The neighboring teeth do not have to be filed down or subjected to additional stress for a dental implant. Moreover, a dental implant does not differ in appearance or feel from a healthy natural tooth.

Are there risks associated with dental implants?

When a dental implant is placed, neighboring structures such as nerves and vessels can theoretically be injured. To reduce this risk as much as possible, we at BLEIBTREU DENTISTS take a 3-D X-ray of the jaw before any dental implantation. This allows us to safely plan the implant position before the procedure.

I already have a dental implant - is there anything else I need to consider?

Once a dental implant is placed, you have an extremely robust replacement tooth. However, just like a natural tooth, a dental implant can become infected. At the BLEIBTREU DENTIST'S office, we offer advice on proper implant care and a prophylaxis program for implant patients.

Dental implants

If you experience tooth loss, dental implants are often the ideal replacement.

They have a unique strength and thus give you a permanent, natural and secure feeling. A dental implant does not differ from a natural tooth in either chewing function or aesthetics.

Since dental implants replace both the crown and the root of the tooth, there is no need to file or stress neighboring teeth. The chewing function, which is vital for your well-being, is fully preserved and the row of teeth remains beautiful and gap free.

This makes dental implants a sustainable and gentle restoration method for tooth gaps.

At BLEIBTREU DENTISTS we have modern equipment for dental implants and with Dr. Lennard Krüger a certified implantologist as a specialist.
